I had 20 minutes with Lukas Nelson in his new tour bus — a hand-me-down from his dad, Willie Nelson, an upgrade from the recreational vehicle he and his band drove to a gig for Humboldt County growers in November, when I first saw him perform. This interview took place before a Sunday afternoon bar-room show in Folsom, Calif. I’m not going to get all Lester Bangs here, but Google Lukas Nelson, listen and know he’s the real deal.
